Started racing career in
1979 as the owner of a dirt late model racecar in upstate New York.
Won his first feature event that year at
Dundee Speedway.
· Captured Tioga (NY)
Speedway modified and late model track championships in 1985.
· Switched to asphalt racing in 1986 and hired
Jimmy Spencer to drive his cars in the NASCAR National Modified Tour. Promptly captured back-to-back, NASCAR
National Modified Tour titles that season and in 1987.
· Won a NASCAR Busch Series
North Division race in 1987 at Shangri-La Speedway with
Spencer as driver.
· Moved south with Spencer
late in 1987 to join the NASCAR Busch Series ranks.
· Teams led the NASCAR Busch Series point race for
seven weeks during the 1992 season with driver Todd Bodine, and again in 1998 and 1999 with Mike McLaughlin
behind the wheel.
· 1997 teams finished second
(Todd Bodine) and fourth (Mike McLaughlin) in Series points.
· Bodine also finished third
in Series points in 1992 and 1995 with McLaughlin duplicating the feat in 1998. McLaughlin finished ninth in 1999.
· Teams finished in the top ten in NASCAR Busch
Grand National Series points in 1988, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999 and 2000.
· First NASCAR Busch Series
organization to field two full teams in same season.
· First and only Busch Series organization to field
three teams for a full season in 1998 and continued it for next three seasons.
· 1989, 1990, 1994 and 2000 teams all finished in
the top 15 in points. Teams still own three track-qualifying records.
· McLaughlin became first Busch Series regular to
win the Watkins Glen Busch Series race that same year with Bodine placing second.
· Won the pole for the Watkins Glen, NY NASCAR
Winston Cup Series event in 1997 with Todd Bodine as driver.
· The 2007 NASCAR Busch
Series season will be Frank Cicci Racing's 20th.
